Would Mentoring Sessions With Successful Publicist, Tory Archbold, Boost Your Business? We Asked Five Women.

Tory Archbold is known world-wide for what she’s achieved as a publicist and now she’s started a new company called Powerful Steps where she inspires, empowers and encourages others to find their true power and potential.

For Tory, helping others is practising what she preaches because she knows the strength of connecting with others and working with your passion: “I’m teaching people everything I’ve learnt over the last two decades which is how to supercharge their business and their life. For me, it’s about getting their personal brand right and the foundation of their business right, so they can attract what they want in their life,” she says.

“The whole idea behind me mentoring women is I want to up-skill these women – I want to see them succeed because I can see the potential in them. I’m showing them the road map to achieve the success they want,” she adds.

Motivated to connect during the isolation of lockdown

Tory Archbold can be your business mentor.
Tory felt it was vital to stay connected during our past six weeks of lockdown.

Tory started her business mentoring during the COVID-19 crisis. She knew it was vital to stay connected so she started her own ‘Coffee Challenge’ every Thursday morning at 10am and asked women from around the globe to join her.

They did and she added hosts for many of the Coffee Challenges including Katrina BlowersJacinta Tynan and Gina Devee. These weekly virtual meetups have been a great success and now Tory is mentoring women from all around the world.

“The women I’m mentoring are super smart and they’ve been highly successful in their careers,” she adds. “I’m identifying their passion so they can supercharge their business flow and reach their true power and potential.”

“I’ve always worked with mentors who have nudged me to become a better person and so I feel like that’s a little bit of gold dust that you can sprinkle and say ‘hey, I’ve got your back, I know you can do this,’” she adds.

We asked five of the women Tory is currently mentoring how it’s working for them. Take a look at what they have to say:

“What is great about Tory’s sessions is that you end each session with a concise action plan. Since starting my sessions with Tory, I have updated my Linkedin profile, implemented new strategies around social media and PR and renamed my virtual business lunches to ‘Lunch with Libby,’ thanks to Tory’s suggestion. I had the concept of the lunches but Tory brought them to life with the name, which has proven to be incredibly successful.”

She truly believes and understands the power of connectivity and how powerful steps can propel your business forward.”

What are you planning to achieve by your mentoring sessions?

I will aim to achieve a sense of clarity over the principles and purpose of who I am and for my business. 3 Tips on Why You Must Use Gut Instinct In Business

3 Tips on Why You Must Use Gut Instinct In Business

I have always listened to my gut instinct. During this global isolation period it has not failed me. I have had to listen, define and pivot the way I work and because I took the time to listen both of my businesses are working in flow…

After almost two decades and at the height of my career, leading global PR and Brand Communications Agency, TORSTAR and representing global brands like Zara, Nespresso, and Victoria’s Secret—my gut instinct spoke loud and clear. It said I had another business to launch. I didn’t know what it was going to be; I only knew to trust that feeling.

By the end of 2019, I had created Powerful Steps, a leadership platform that empowers, inspires and encourages people to step into their true power and potential.

I truly believe that gut instinct is the best business strategy anyone could have. It’s what enables me to partner with corporate organisations to deliver Powerful Steps workshops, and more recently, a new business program for women, with TAFE NSW and the NSW government. Hear me talk about it on Sky News interview

3 Tips for Harness Your Gut Instinct for Business (and life)

1.      Gut Instinct drives authentic decisions

Over time, I’ve learned to trust my gut instinct. I know that when an opportunity is for me, doors open with ease. When a doorway closes, I don’t hang around and wait for it to open. I simply know it was never my path. When you’re connected to your inner wisdom, you’re empowered in your decision-making. You’ll learn to assess a situation and take action quickly. When you trust your gut feeling over other people’s opinions, you won’t detour from your natural course.

2.      Define Your Values

Your values dictate the partnerships you’ll attract in business. Powerful Steps is built on passion, integrity and delivery. I only move forward with opportunities that align with these values. As your reputation grows, so do your options. Know what you stand for, and you’ll know what’s for you.

3.      Trust the Flow

When one door closes, another one opens. Often people cling to what’s leaving. Let go. Arianna Huffington wrote in Thrive, “Intuition is always trying to steer us the right way.” I agree. The more you operate from the flow, you’ll naturally understand what the tightness in the pit of your stomach means. To evolve and grow into the next stage of your business, you must always trust the flow.

I trust these tips gave you a valuable insight into how you can trust your gut instinct and the opportunities that come with understanding how to work in flow. My biggest passion is helping others shape their personal and professional brands. During this isolation period I am offering 6 one hour per week mentoring programs to allow you to step into your true power and potential using the skills I have developed to successfully attract and partner with the worlds leading retails brands.

Tory Archbold involvement in NSW Government Women in Business initiative

Tory Archbold involvement in NSW Government Women in Business initiative

In January 2020 , Geoff Lee, Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education announced Tory Archbold’s involvement with Women in Business, a NSW Government and TAFE NSW initiative that offers a fully subsidised online program for women who are looking to establish or maintain a small business.

A third of small businesses in Australia are led by women, with 46,000 women starting their own businesses in the past year alone, but now a new government initiative has been launched to ensure these businesses last the distance. TAFE NSW have committed $7 million to the NSW government’s Women in Business program which offers participants free training and advice with top business mentors.

Founder of Torstar and Powerful Steps Tory Archbold told Sky News the initiative allows millions of women to “tap into the hearts and minds” of the best people in practices across business including public relations and marketing. Starting a business, Ms Archbold said, “gives women the independence, and independence gives people freedom”. “Once you have freedom you have choice, and when you have choice you have the opportunity to help others”.
